Metal Roofing Shipped to the Bahamas From Miami

RoofingEX manufactures metal roof panels in Miami and ships them to the Bahamas. The Bahamas is our most frequent Caribbean destination: we have supplied standing seam, nail strip and PBR panels, matching trim and full roof packages (panels, trim, clips, fasteners and underlayment) for jobs there. Orders are cut to length at our Miami facility and handed to Tropical Shipping, which sails to Nassau, Freeport and Marsh Harbour.

How a Bahamas order works

  1. Send your takeoff. Email panel lengths and quantities, profile, color and the island to sales@roofingex.com, or send roof plans and we will prepare the takeoff.
  2. Get a quote. Pricing and production lead time.
  3. We make it to length. Every panel is roll-formed in Miami and cut to the lengths on your takeoff, with trim and flashing from the same coil and color. Typical production lead time is 24 to 48 hours.
  4. We hand it to Tropical Shipping. Tropical Shipping receives cargo in Medley, Miami-Dade, and sails to Nassau (Arawak Cay), Freeport (Freeport Harbour) and Marsh Harbour, Abaco. For other islands, tell us where the job is and we will confirm the route with the shipper.

There is no minimum order.

What we ship to the Bahamas

  • Panels: standing seam, nail strip and PBR, in all colors.
  • Trim and flashing: drip edge, ridge, valley, rake and wall flashing to match the panels.
  • Full roof packages: panels, trim, clips, fasteners and underlayment in one order, so the crew on the island is not waiting on a second shipment for a box of clips.

Panels made for hurricane country

Our panels are made in Miami-Dade County, inside Florida’s High-Velocity Hurricane Zone, for roofs that face the same storms the Bahamas does. Our REM 1.5 standing seam was tested by Intertek to 307 psf of wind uplift and carries a UL Class A fire and Class 4 impact rating (UL file R40985). It holds Miami-Dade County, Florida NOA 22-1208.01, exp. 04/13/2028, and our Series 1300 and Series 2000 standing seam panels hold Miami-Dade County, Florida NOAs 26-0701.06 through 26-0701.12, exp. 08/27/2031.

Cut-to-length panels mean less waste and fewer field cuts, which matters when a replacement panel is a boat ride away. Measure carefully, send us the numbers, and the panels arrive ready to go on the roof.

Paperwork

With every order we can provide the NOA for the panel system and the supporting technical documents, such as installation details, the fastener schedule, and color and coating data. Check with your local building authority which documents it needs for the permit, and confirm import duties for the shipment before it sails.
